About the Club

 Philanthropy

We support our community by doing annual service projects to benefit local non-profits. Recent projects have included donating to the Berks County food bank, providing needed school supplies to children in the Daniel Boone School District, and providing needed items to Mary's Shelter and Berks Women in Crisis in Reading, PA. We raise money through business donations, bake sales, and concession stands at local events.

Activities

We provide our members with a monthly calendar of activities that are held during the weekdays and offer a chance to get out of the house and do something fun with your children. Examples include picnic lunches, park days, play dates, make-your-own pizza, craft days, bubbles and sidewalk chalk, and visits to local children's activities. In addition to activities, age-based playgroups are available so your little ones (and you!) can socialize on a weekly or biweekly basis with a familiar group.

Community

We participate in community events such as the Community Days fall fair (run by the Daniel Boone Optimist Club) and the Douglassville Halloween parade.

Moms' Night Out

Once a month, we organize an evening out for ourselves. Past events have included a private group yoga session, a mani/pedi night, and appetizers and a chick flick.

Clubs

In addition to Moms' Night Out, we have a Scrapbooking Club, MyCIS (My Child's In School, a club for moms with school-age children), and a Babysitting Cooperative.

Newsletter

We provide a monthly newsletter to our members which includes the activities calendar as well as club business news.
